To those who claim this game is an easy way out or sparks arguments, I feel sorry that you lack a solid foundation of communication and empathy with your partner. My husband and I have been together for nearly 10 years and have experienced many highs and lows, including trials and therapy. We managed to play through half of the game with openness and honesty before we had to pause due to the late hour. I noticed that by the fourth card, he was anxiously biting his nails, and about fifteen minutes in, I definitely felt the pressure. However, we have strong communication skills and understand that neither of us is being malicious. I’m genuinely looking forward to finishing this game, and as a Master’s Level Intern in Clinical Therapy, I think it could even be beneficial for couples counseling after a few sessions. If your communication skills aren’t strong, though, I advise against playing this game alone and suggest you either find a mediator or look for something else to buy.
